The UMB Virtual Challenges attracted a great audience with almost 1 million views. This means that every match was followed by 16.000 viewers on average over all media platforms.
The introduction of UMB Virtual Challenges during this COVID-19 times has been a great success, far beyond our expectations.
UMB Virtual Challenges allowed the viewers to keep watching billiards during these difficult times. Fans from all around the world virtually gathered in front of the screens to watch 26 of our top players, men and women, compete in these tournaments. A spectacular player’s field with challenging player’s performance. Unfortunately, the time difference did not allow the participation of Pan American players
COVID-19 has changed the way we used to interact and provides a great opportunity for innovating ideas allowing broadcasting of attractive virtual billiards challenges, with amazing high averages and high runs, like the outstanding 20 points highest run by Semih Sayginer, the best general average by Lutfi Cenet (3.846) and the best match average by Dick Jaspers (5.555)..
Looking forward to the expectations and restrictions imposed by these pandemic times, UMB will keep providing opportunities to satisfy the great Billiards Community with attractive 3-Cushion broadcasting.
Therefore, UMB is planning to announce a new Virtual Challenge Teams format, for broadcasting in the first quarter of 2021.
