Press release about eventual participation of Billiards into Olympic Games 2020

The World Confederation of Billiards Sports (WCBS) has made a submission to the Japanese Olympic Committee in an effort to have billiards as part of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. As host of the 2020 Olympics, Japan has input into the two sports that are to be chosen that will be added to the programme. If accepted, billiards will be represented by all three members of the WCBS, Carom, Snooker & Pool. Other sports have also made submission for their sports to be selected, but one thing in favour for billiards is that the sport is very popular in Japan, and their sports people are very proficient at the different disciplines. So if the thoughts with the powers that be are about the best chance for Japan to win medals, then billiards is surely in with a great chance of being selected.
