THE ITALIAN TEAM KEEPS THE 5-PINS WORLD TITLE IN EUROPE
Italy takes home the world title but it needed a breathtaking relay (200-199) in the final against the strong Argentine team, the only team that was able to put the Italians under heavy pressure in the entire Tournament. In the final Michelangelo Aniello lost his single match against Oliva, opening the doors to the relay which was uncertain until the very last shot. Shortly after it was again Aniello to score the last spectacular winning point in the relay after a providential miscue for Argentina by the same Oliva. As expected Denmark A was also on the podium in third place, eliminated in the semifinals by Argentina. Uruguay was on the path of the Italians in the semifinals and settled for an honorable bronze medal too. It's Worth to mention the fate of Germany falling by 3-2 in quarters final at one step from the podium by the hands of Argentina; France, Belgium and Switzerland also finished in the 5th to 8th positions.
The podium:
Gold medal: Italy (Aniello, Caratozzolo, Gualemi, Quarta, Ragonesi).
Silver medal: Argentina (Della Gaspera, Bonvillani, Lautaro, Oliva)
Bronze medals: Denmark (Kristoffersen, Tafdrup, Sjorup, Riholdt) and Uruguay (Rossi, Fonsalia, Pumar, Mendonca).

DANIELA ROMITI SUCCESSFULLY DEFENDS HER WORLD 5-PINS TITLE
The Italian Daniela Romiti doubles her World title and takes home a second gold medal for Italy in the Madrid event. Denmark confirms to be the best challenger to the Italian dominance in 5-Pins ladies.
In the final Daniela faced and won the experienced Marianne Mortensen from Denmark by a 3-1 score. Earlier in the semifinals the tension was at the highest level: Romiti played her most difficult match of the tournament against her compatriot Lucia Biondolillo and won by 3-2; Mortensen had to clash with her compatriot too, Charlotte Koefoed, and the outcome was another exciting 3-2 score. Gutierrez (Uruguay), Romano (Italy), Kureckova (Czech Republic) and Titze (Germany) finished their Tournament in the quarters final.
The podium:
Gold medal: Daniela Romiti (Italy)
Silver medal: Marianne Mortensen (Denmark)
Bronze medals: Charlotte Koefoed (Denmark) and Lucia Biondolillo (Italy).

THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 5-PINS LADIES AT THE STARTING BLOCKS
While the National Team Championships reaches the KO stage the best 5-Pins women enter the scene today in Madrid.
This second edition of the Ladies 5-Pins Championship is presenting 12 athletes, 10 from Europe and 2 from Southern America. Among the European athletes we will witness the defending world champion, the Italian Daniela Romiti, and the main challengers: the current European Champion, Charlotte Koefoed from Denmark, and the European vice champion, Milena Romano also from Italy. Besides the other competitors should not be underestimated. Today the qualification groups and the quarters final will be played; tomorrow the semifinals and the final are on the schedule.

Group C: Uruguay and Belgium
Group D: Italy and Switzerland
Quarters final matches have been set up according to the qualification ranking and will be played today one after the other:

Uruguay - France
Italy - Switzerland
The tournament will then continue tomorrow with the semifinals and the final.

THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 5-PINS FOR NATIONAL TEAMS STARTS TODAY IN MADRID
Until the end of the week Madrid will be the place to be for 5-Pins lovers.
The World Championship 5-Pins for National Teams starts today in the headquarters of the Royal Spanish Billiards Federation.
16 representatives are ready to fight for the gold medal, 2 arriving from Southern America and 14 from the European region. In this third edition Italy is the defending champion and the winner of the two previous editions; no need to say that the Italians are the favorites but the overall level is increased around the world: the other teams will try to give an hard time to the Italian team.

In the heart of Madrid, from November 20 to 23, billiards enthusiasts can gather at the headquarters of the Royal Spanish Billiards Federation to witness the best players in the 5-pin discipline. Undoubtedly, a spectacle of precision, ingenious solutions, tactical play, and the excitement of the final shot.
The national teams of Italy, Argentina, Uruguay, Denmark, Spain, France, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and San Marino will participate. In the women's competition, Italy's Daniela Romiti defends the title she won in Hall, Tyrol (Austria) in 2023. The challengers are Estela Cardoso (Spain), Charlotte Koefoed (Denmark), Marianne Mortensen (Denmark), Milena Romano (Italy), Katja Titze (Germany), Adela Kureckova (Czech Republic), Monika Steinberger (Austria), Lucía BIONDOLILLO IT , Emma Bjerregaard (Denmark), Luisina Ponzio (Argentina), and Verónica Gutiérrez (Uruguay).
The Spanish federation, which participates in both events (the World Team Championship and the Women's World Championship), is redoubling its efforts with this tournament, adding to those it undertook just six weeks ago to host the Junior and Women's Three-Cushion World Championship in Cartagena.
