UMB sports calendar updates.

Published on: August 28, 2021

Major events now back on track: 28th November to 11th December 2021 – Sharm El Sheikh – Egypt.

Since the World Cup of Turkey, February 2020, UMB, its Confederations and Federations, were not able to organize most of the UMB events scheduled on its sports calendar. This was due to the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic situation in the organizing countries,

Therefore, UMB had no other options than to constantly monitor the COVID-19 worldwide situation, implicating the cancellation of UMB events or postponing to a later date.

As the worldwide vaccination against COVID-19 virus is strongly progressing, the opportunities for organizing sports events under controlled safety measures are becoming more and more common.

Considering this favorable worldwide development, the Egyptian Federation of Billiards Sports (EFBS), in cooperation with the African and Middle East Carom Confederation, will host the following events to take place in Sharm El Sheikh, for which UMB is very grateful:

  1. 28 November to 4 December 2021: Sharm El Sheikh World Cup
  2. 07 - 11 December 2021: World Championship 3-Cushion 2021/2022
  3. 10 December 2021: UMB General Assembly

The UMB sports calendar has been updated accordingly.

The entry formalities for Egypt, considering the COVID-19 pandemic, follow the worldwide safety measures, valid for all countries, requiring either a proof of full vaccination or an official international negative PCR test, without quarantine obligation.

Great opportunity for players, officials and Billiards fans to combine sports and holiday.

We hope to have informed you conveniently and wish very much to welcome you in Sharm El Sheikh.
