UMB Calendar updated.
Due to the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic and following discussions between the UMB and Organizers, the Ho Chi Minh City World Cup, May 24-30, 2021 will be cancelled.
Following consultations between the UMB and the German Billiards Federation (DBU) it was agreed that the postponed World Championship National Teams which was scheduled for March 18-21, 2021 in Viersen will be cancelled one again due to the unknown situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
During a series of communications between the UMB and FC Porto discussions were carried out regarding the scheduled Porto World Cup, although it was considered too early to cancel the event it was generally agreed that the current situation regarding the pandemic cannot guarantee that it will go ahead. As a result FC Porto, in a move of goodwill for players, have decided to cancel the Porto World Cup 2021 due to the opportunity of International Invitation Events sanctioned by UMB with a total prize money of US$300,000, to be organized in Korea by Five&Six from 1st till 25th of July, 2021.
The UMB continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation, we hope as 2021 progresses we will have more opportunities to return to a schedule that will bring Billiards tournaments and events back for players and fans around the world to enjoy.
