With great sadness we received the news that our friend Heinrich Weingartner passed away.
We lost one of the most enduring creators and mentors of Carom Billiards.
We will always remember Heinrich as one of the key pioneers in the promotion of Carom Billiards, not only in Austria and the German-speaking countries, but far beyond.
Heinrich Weingartner, born on December 13, 1939, shaped the developments in Carom Billiards for many decades, not only as an active player but also as an official and a businessman.
With his dedication to the sport, he actively contributed in the momentum that ultimately led to “Carom” being recognized as an international sport.
He was a gentleman with a great sense of humor who greatly improved, with passion and commitment, the international communicative promotion of Carom. He will forever remain in our thoughts.
We express our deep condolences and wish his family and relatives strength and resignation in the acceptance of this tragic loss.
