REGULATIONS FOR THE WORLD 3 CUSHION
PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD
The World 3 Cushion Player of the Year Award is under the auspices of Mr. Ludo Dielis, for the election of the best world three-cushion player of the year.
JURY
The jury is composed of: Mr. Farouk Barki (UMB President and Mr. Ludo Dielis.
The election of the “Player of the Year” is organized by voting, thru the website of the UMB: www.umb-carom.org
Who is eligible?
The 16 first ranked players of the last World Ranking of the calendar year.
Who can participate into the voting?
- Every Confederation one vote.
- Every non-suspended federation one vote.
- Every elected UMB Board Member one vote.
- Each of the 64 first ranked players of the last World Ranking of the calendar year one vote.
How to vote?
All potential voters will receive a personalized invitation to vote with the necessary instructions in order to proceed to a secure and complete confidential vote. For the Confederations, this message will be sent to the Secretary-Generals and for the Federations to the main contact-address.
The invitation will be sent on January 16th of every year; the voters who did not receive the invitation by this date, should inform Mr Fernando Requena, UMB Vice-President, by e-mail latest by January 30th: frequena@umb-carom.org
Each voter assigns 5 players of his choice, respectively 10-7-5-3-1 Points. Should a voter nominate less than 5 players, the vote remains valid.
The three players with the highest final score, participate into the gala “Player of the Year” in Antwerp (BE).
The winner will receive a prize of € 5.000,00, the second € 1.500,00, and the third € 1.000,00; all prizes minus Belgium taxes (18%). Prizes are only given to players who are present during the event.
Voting period:
The voting will be open on the UMB website from January 16th to February 20th every year.
We sincerely hope that all voters - players, federations and confederations - will make use of their right to vote for this important nomination.
