In Memoriam
Johny (Jean-François) Houtsch.
Dear Sports Friends,
It is with great sadness that we received the tragic news that our friend, most estimated colleague and UMB Honorary Member, Mr. Johny Houtsch, passed away.
For many decades he was the pioneer and representative image of the CEB (Confederation Européenne de Billard), as Secretary General, Advisory Board Member and CEB Honorary Member.
He contributed with passion and love, during his life, to the international development of Billiards in all its disciplines. He was for many years the drive behind the European Billiard Championships in Brandenburg, Germany, together with his inseparable wife Amanda.
Since 1971 he was active member of his billiard Club “Cercle de Billard de Dudelange” (Luxembourg) where he fulfilled with devotion and commitment different executive functions as Treasurer, Vice President and President.
The Union Mondiale de Billard expresses its condolences, and wishes of strength and resignation, to his wife (Amanda), family and friends, when facing their moments of sadness.
He will remain forever in our thoughts.
