Torsten Danielsson – UMB Delegate:” This World Championship was the first under UMB where we tried out playing a qualification tournament right up to the main event. With 1115 players – it was a great success for FIBIS (Italien Billiard Federation). Not only the amount of players but the fact that the two finalist where players qualified from the qualification tournament and were not among the 40 seeded players! UMB will evaluate this form in the near future. At the end of the day Mr. Andrea Mancino (President FIBIS) and his team of many hard working voluntaries performed a fantastic event that will go into the history. UMB is delighted to have such a dedicated federation like FIBIS, who is working with great professionality and dedication – that one only can do it you love what you are doing! UMB also thanks CEB and the delegate Mr. Gabrio Volante for the impressing organization and work to make this World Championship a great success”.
UMB is happy that already two candidates have shown interest in organizing the next 5-Pins World Championship in 2017.
