Published on: August 29, 2015

The Korean three cushion stronghold welcomes the sixteen young talents who will compete for the Junior world title from 3 to 5 September. Adrien Tachoire from France defends the title he won in Sluiskil, the Netherlands, last year.

The competition in the Guri Gymnasium will be tough and is expected to come mainly from two Koreans and Turkish player Berkay Karakurt who were on the world stage before.

The Junior championship precedes the World Cup that will be played in the same hall one week later. The sixteen players for the World championships are divided into four groups of four players. The field consists of eight Europeans, four Asians, three South Americans and one African. Korean Myungwoo Cho, one of the many gifted players in his country, has by far the highest average of the field: 1.647. He was last year's runner-up, losing the final to Adrien Tachoire, Berkay Karakurt then finishing in third place.

The organization is preparing for two wonderful events within two weeks. The Korean audience looks forward to these prestigious competitions between the best players in the world. For all billiards fans who like to watch the game online: Kozoom will broadcast all matches of the Junior World championships and the World Cup live. The UMB and the Guri organization invite you all to enjoy the matches of the new generation of players, ready to start their ascend on the world ranking.
