For the second time, Luxor, Egypt, which is the largest open-air museum in the world, will host an edition of the 3-Cushion World Cup. In this edition, the Belgian player Frédéric Caudrón will defend his title which he won last year.
As has been the case in the latest great international events, the list of favourites is very diverse. Each time more players start off tournaments as likely candidates for the big title. The first 12 listings of the ranking, beside Frédéric Caudrón, are Sung-Won CHOI, Eddy MERCKX, Torbjörn BLOMDAHL, Marco ZANETTI, Dick JASPERS, Jae Ho CHO, Tayfun TASDEMIR, Dong Koong KANG, Daniel SANCHEZ, Jean Paul DE BRUIJN, and Roland FORTHOMME; a spectacular but by no means limited list of favourites. As to the Egyptian players, Sameh SIDHOM and Riad NADY are the main contenders to uphold the Egyptian flag.
The tournament will be held in Hotel SONESTA ST. GEORGE HOTEL LUXOR 5*, on the bank of the river Nile, from 29 March to 4 April 2015 and will be broadcast by KOZOOM CORP.
