The election of the Player of the Year took place for the first time in 2001 and has been organized till 2010.
From this year on the election is again organized and this thru the web-platform of UMB.
The election of the Player of the Year is gifted with a prize of 5.000 € for the first, 1.500 € for the second and 1.000 for the third elected player.
Who is eligible?
All 32 first ranked players of the World ranking (edition 26 from 13th of December 2014).
Who can participate into the election?
- All Confederations have one vote each
- All non-suspended federations have one vote each
- The elected UMB-board has one vote
- All 50 first ranked players of the World ranking (edition 26 from 13th of December 2014) have one vote each
How to vote?
All potential voters will receive a personalized invitation to vote with the necessary instructions in order to proceed to a secure and complete confidential vote. For the Confederations this message will be sent to the Secretary-Generals and for the Federations to the main contact-address.
The invitation will be send on Monday 29th of December. Those voters who should not have received yet such message and estimate to have the right to receive such invitation should inform Mr Fernando Requena, UMB Vice-President of this, at the latest on 10th of January, 2015 only thru following e-mail-address: frequena@UMB-CAROM.ORG
Voting period:
The voting itself will be possible from December 29th 2014 on till January 28th 2015.
We sincerely hope that all voters, players, federations and confederations will make use of their right to vote for this important nomination.
