While meanwhile has been played the World Championship Three Cushion Under 22 some ten kilometres from there in the municipality of Sluiskil known by so many billiard-fans for the many World Cups organized as well as the World Championship Three Cushion Individual during the year 2010.

The Presidents and Confederal delegates from the four Confederations and the delegates of a number of federations have attended the Congress as well as representatives of some sponsoring Companies and honorary members.

One of the main issues has been the elections and re-elections.

As well Mr Jean-Claude Dupont (Belgium) as President, Mr Fernando Requena (Spain) as Vice-President Responsible for Financial Affairs as Mr Farouk Barki (Egypt) as Sports-Director has been re-elected with the maximum of votes. They will execute another mandate of four years.

Mr. Torsten Danielsson (Switzerland) has been elected (also with the maximum of votes as new Board Member. He will be assigned specific tasks in the near future.

During this Regular Congress and the related UMB-Board-meetings some decisions have been made.

  • On the occasion of the adding of a World Cup on the last minute in the sense of the regulations as well as on the occasion of the reallocation of the World Championship Three Cushion Individual to another date, it occurred that the actual system of attributing the sportive events had to be adapted. From next sports year on their will be foreseen a number of blocked weeks for UMB-events on the calendar. This will be done after prior consultation with the Confederations and the Federations.
  • From now on the Core-events organized by UMB will be limited to the disciplines of THREE CUSHION, FIVE-PINS, ARTISTIC AND ONE CUSHION as it has been clearly established that these are the only disciplines that are applied in the different continents and at least in two of them for organizing a World Championship and this on a sufficient technical level. UMB is recognizing that those disciplines known as “classical” disciplines are still organized where the Continents are estimating it necessary and recommended to do so but will in the future no longer organize a World Championship in one of these “classical” disciplines.
  • The Sports-attire for the players will not be changed at this moment for the UMB-events of World Championships and World Cups. It is the responsibility and autonomy of the federations to decide about the attire for their championships and other sports-events.
  • UMB Congress awarded the title of Honorary Member to Mr. Johny Housch from  Luxembourg

Finally there has been announced the organizing of the first World Cup of Vietnam in the Town of Ho Chi Ming during the next month of August 2015.
