We already know all the billiard results of the WCBS Championship Kielce 2024 that took place at the Grand Hotel Kielce. The second edition of this prestigious competition was won by the Europe B team, which defeated the Asia B team 5:3 in the final. Just after the final fight, a ceremonial closing ceremony took place.

After three days of competition, Europe B, Asia A, Africa & Rest of the World, and Asia B teams advanced to the semi-finals. The Americas and Europe A teams were eliminated. In the next phase of the championship, fate crossed the paths of Europe B and Africa & Rest of the World (semi-final 1). This match ended with an undisputed victory for the Europeans 7:1. The only win for Africa was won by Nicola Illse Rossouw in Heyball.
The second semi-final between Asia A and Asia B started at noon. The eight matches included in this match ultimately ended in a 4-4 draw. The Asia A snooker players won both matches, but in Carom 3-Cushion the Asia B team were better. In Pool 10-ball and Heyball, both teams recorded one victory each. This meant a playoff that was to be decided at one table. The men's 10-ball pool was drawn, with Bader Al-Awadi (Asia B) and Mohammed Soufi (Asia A) facing each other. The Syrian lost this battle 0:2. Asia B landed in the finals, and the losers had to play for third place.
The bronze medals finally went to the Asia A team, which defeated Africa & Rest of the World 7:1. An honorable victory for Africa was won by Guzin Mujde Karakasli, who defeated Yuko Nishimoto in Carom 3-Cushion.

The final between Europe B and Asia B began at 6 p.m. This match met all the expectations. After the Snooker, Heyball, Carom 3-Cushion and Ladies' Pool 10-ball matches, the scoreboard was 4:3 in favor of the European team. The final result was decided by the men's Pool 10-ball match: Daniel Macio艂 and Bader Al-Awadi. If the Pole had lost, we would have had an overtime. However, this did not happen, Macio艂 won, and the whole match ended with the score 5:3 for Europe B.
The closing ceremony took place right after the last match. We would like to remind you that the prize pool was 140,000 USD. The best team won 44,000 USD.

Kielce , July,28th 2024.
The intercontinental tournament held in Poland is entering its decisive phase. The semi-final pairs were selected on Saturday. The final matches will be played on Sunday, July 28.
The final standings in the group are in! Europe B came first, having collected 93 points in all matches. Asia B came second, with 88 points. Asia A came third, while Africa and the Rest of the World came fourth. Americas and Europe A did not advance to Sunday's finals.

How did it happen? The final shape of the table depended on Saturday's results. In the first match, Asia A faced the Africa and Rest of the World team. The match ended with a score of 17:15 in favor of the Far and Middle East representatives. Africa won both Carom 3-Cushion matches, but lost both Pool 10-ball matches. In Heyball, both teams won four points, so the final result was decided by the Snooker matches: the Ladies' clash were tied, while in the Men's, Asia A won.
At noon, the match Asia B with Europe B began. After almost 2 hours of competition the score was 19:13 in favor of Europe. This result was decided by clear victories in Carom 3-Cushion and Snooker. In Pool 10-ball for the Europeans, Daniel Macio艂 scored 3 points, while for Asia – Seo Seoa. In Heyball the Asians were slightly better.

The afternoon session was opened by the Americas - Europe A match, which ended with a score of 17:15 for the Americans. In this match, both teams scored four points in almost every discipline, winning and losing one match each. And only in the 10-ball Pool did the Americas players proved to be slightly better, as Peruvian Gerson Martinez defeated Estonian Denis Grabe, and Argentinian Soledad Ayala drew with Portuguese Sara Rocha. The final score in this match ruined the Europeans' chances for the knockout stage.
The fourth match of the day was Asia A vs. Europe B, which ended in a 16:16 draw. In Heyball and Carom 3-Cushion, both teams won four points. In Snooker, Asia A was better, gaining five points, allowing their opponents to win only three. However, in Pool 10-ball, the roles were reversed and Europe B won this discipline with a score of 5:3.

At the end of the day, the decisive match took place to decide who would advance to the final matches. Africa & Rest of the World had a chance to enter the knockout zone. All they had to do was win enough points from Asia B. Representatives of countries such as Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, and India won 19:13. Despite this, Africa & Rest of the World won enough points to advance. This happened thanks to the attitude of Guzin Mujde Karakasli, Amiri Amini, who scored points for Africa for the highest pool, and Nicola Illse Rossouw's draw, the African team in the general classification jumped over the Americas team by one point and advanced to the next phase of the games.
The semi-finalists have been decided. In Semi-Final 1, Europe B takes on Africa & Rest of the World at 10 am local time. In Semi-Final 2, Asia A takes on Asia B at 12 noon local time.

Kielce July 26 2024 - Day 2
The second WCBS Championship has begun and the first matches have been played!
On Thursday morning, billiard players from almost all continents began competing for the title of WCBS Champions. The prestigious event co-organized by the WCBS and the Polish Billiards Association brought us the first results.
At first, each win by individual players is counted as three points for the team, a draw – two points and a defeat is counted as one point. Each team consists of four female and four male players.
The intercontinental competition began with a match between Africa & Rest of the World and the Americas. The teams were tied 16:16. The Americans won both 10-ball Pool matches, but they had more problems in the other billiards disciplines. In 3-Cushion both teams scored four points. Africa & Rest of the World won the Snooker competition 5:3. Heyball ended with the same result.
In the European match, the Europe B team proved to be much better in Heyball. In the men's match, Oliver Szolnoki beat Dennis Laszkowski, and in the women's match, Ana Gradisnik defeated Nina Torvund. Both teams scored four points in both 3-Cushion and 10-ball Pool. Europe B was better at Snooker and ultimately won the entire competition against Europe A 19:13.
The Asia A vs Asia B match was also interesting. After the 3-Cushion battles the scoreboard showed a tie of 4:4. However, the fantastic performance of the Asia A team in Snooker and Heyball (they won all four matches) was decisive for their victory. The Asia B team was not helped by their wins in Pool 10-ball. The match ended with a score of 18:14.
After 5:00 p.m. the Americas vs. Europe B match started. After almost 2 hours, it ended with the score 19:13 for the European participants. The Americans lost points mainly in Women's and Men's Snooker. In Pool 10-ball, the Americans managed to score only three points out of a possible six. 3-Cushion ended in a 4:4 points tie, just like in Heyball.
Finally, we had the match between Europe A and Africa & Rest of the World. This match ended with the result 15:17. They tied in Men’s 3-Cushion and Heyball. Overall Snooker was tied. Europe won in Pool 10-ball: Ayoub Bakhtaoui lost his match against Denis Grabe, and match Marina Jacobs – Sara Rocha were tied.
WCBS would like to thank its sponsors: Andy Cloth, Aramith, Joy, MIN Table, Ministry of Sports and Tourism of Poland, Rasson, and Wiraka for their great support, without which this event would not be possible.
