Sameh Sidhom wins the Carom Cafe International Open in a tense final with Luis Aveiga. Tayfun Tasdemir and Pedro Piedrabuena were the 3rd place finishers. Sameh Sidhom had the high run of the tournament with a 16 and Pedro Piedrabuena played the best game in his Quaterfinal match with Alexander Salazar wining with 40 points in 11 innings.

Results After the 1st Phase of the Finals
Pedro Piedrabuena and Muammer Rahmet lead the field heading into the Knockout Stage, followed by Tayfun Tasdemir and Roland Forthomme. Sameh Sidhom's loss in his last match with Muammer Rahmet put him 5th overall in the ranking. They are joined by Alexander Salazar and Huberney Cataño from Colombia along with Luis Aveiga from Ecuador. Eight USA players round out the field with a strong showing by Ricardo Carranco and Vicke Pineda.
