UMB Executive Committee have taken the following decisions during the meeting held on February 10 & 11, 2023, in Ankara:
World Championship Artistic 2022/2023:
Due to the devastating earthquakes that hit Turkey on Monday February 6, 2023, in consultation with TBF and the Turkish government, UMB has postponed the World Championship Artistic 2022/2023, originally planned to take place in Ankara on February 16, 2023. The new date will be September 20 to 23, 2023, and it is to be considered as the 2022/2023 World Championship. With the new date technically falling out of the 2022/2023 season, the UMB settled on this date, taking into consideration the UMB/TBF busy calendars and the Artistic players’ wish to play the World Championship as soon as possible.
CREATION of 2 New Rankings:
- UMB Events Ranking: This ranking will consist of the latest World Championship 3C Individuals with same World Cup points and the latest 10 World Cups, kindly check the ranking page on the UMB Website. This ranking will be applied for World Cups and International Invitation Tournaments as of 1st January 2024. The World Players Ranking will be applied only for World Championship 3C Individuals.
- World Juniors Ranking: This ranking will consist of World, Confederations and National Championships, and the latest 8 World Cups, and will be used only for the World Championship Juniors groups composition, as of 1st January 2024, first edition will be published in the coming weeks.
Ankara World Cups:
Due to the heavy weather conditions in Ankara during the month of February every year, in coordination with TBF and CEB, the Ankara World Cups will be organized in June in the future, kindly check the UMB Sports Calendar.
Sharm El Sheikh World Cups:
In coordination with AMECC and EFBS, the Sharm El Sheikh World Cups will be organized last week of November starting from 2024, kindly check the UMB Sports Calendar.
World 3-Cushion Grand Prix:
In cooperation with UMB partners, Innocean and Five&Six, 9 “World 3-Cushion Grand Prix” will be organized during 2024, 2025 and 2026, kindly check the UMB Sports Calendar.
